Customizing verses per block

Choose how many verses flow together before a line break, on both the Record and Listen pages.

Scripture text can be shown two ways: each verse on its own line, or several verses flowing together like a paragraph. Verses per Block lets you pick what works best for your eyes — from 1 (one verse per line) up to 7 (a full paragraph before a break).

Where to find it

This is two separate settings, one for each page:

  • Profile → Recording → Verses per Block — controls the passage text shown while you record.
  • Profile → Listening → Verses per Block — controls the passage text shown while you listen.

Tap a number from 1–7, then Save Changes.

Choosing a number

  • 1 — every verse starts on its own line. Easiest for following along verse-by-verse, especially while recording or reading closely.
  • 3 (the default) — verses group into small paragraph-like blocks, closer to how most Bibles are typeset.
  • 5–7 — longer, more continuous reading blocks, good if you prefer fewer breaks on the page.

Independent per page

Your Record and Listen settings don't have to match. Many people prefer 1 on Record — so the verse they're about to read is unmistakable — and a higher number like 3 on Listen, for a more natural reading flow while they follow along with the audio.
