Right after you upload a recording, Record offers to turn a verse from it into a shareable graphic — the verse text laid over a photo or background, ready to post.
Where to find it
After a successful upload, look for the Create Art and Share! button on the upload confirmation screen. It only appears when the upload included at least one verse.
Building your image
- If you recorded more than one verse, pick which one to feature.
- Choose a background: browse template categories (Nature, Everyday Life, Relationships, Gradients, Textures, Patterns), or tap My Photo to use your own picture from your device instead.
- Pick a format: Post (1:1) for a square image, or Story (9:16) for a tall one sized for Instagram/Facebook Stories.
- The verse text, its reference, and a small "recorded on Lineage Bible" credit line are laid over your chosen background automatically, sized to fit.
Sharing, saving, and captioning
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Share | Opens your device's native share sheet so you can post directly to Instagram, Facebook, Messages, or anywhere else that accepts an image. If your browser doesn't support native sharing, it downloads the image instead. |
| Save | Downloads the image as a PNG straight to your device, without opening the share sheet. |
| Caption | Copies a ready-made caption (e.g. "I just recorded John 3:16 for my family on Lineage Bible 🎙️ lineagebible.com") to your clipboard — paste it into whichever app you shared to. |
Good to know
- The image is generated entirely on your device — no extra upload or processing wait.
- Using your own photo adds a slightly stronger dark overlay behind the text so it stays readable; template backgrounds use a lighter one.
- You can reopen the composer and change the verse, background, or format as many times as you like before sharing — nothing is finalized until you tap Share or Save.
