Letter Box is a separate kind of recording from verse recording — a continuous, personal message you speak to one or more people in your family, like a voicemail with a teleprompter.
Recording a letter
- Open Letter Box from your Profile.
- Tap New Letter, add a subject, and choose recipients — specific family members, or everyone in the family.
- Use the teleprompter to guide what you want to say. Recording is one continuous take: pause and resume as many times as you like, and use Redo Last Section to re-record just the part you just paused on, without starting over.
- When you're happy with it, publish the letter to send it, or leave it unpublished as a draft to finish later.
Reading and listening to letters
- Recipients see the letter under their own Letter Box inbox, addressed From the sender and To the chosen recipients.
- A letter addressed to specific people is private — only those recipients (and the author) can open it.
- Tap into a letter to read its subject and listen to the recording.
Managing a letter you sent
- Manage Recipients lets the author add or remove who can see a letter after it's sent — a removed recipient loses access right away, and a newly added one sees it the next time they open Letter Box.
- Authors and recipients can toggle a published letter between private and shared with the rest of the family.
- You can send a reminder to a recipient who hasn't listened yet, right from the letter's detail view.
