The rules for using Lineage Bible — please read before you record.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lineage Bible, a product of Together On Mission ("Lineage Bible," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Lineage Bible account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and any family members you add to your account. If you add a minor to your family, you are their parent or legal guardian, or you otherwise have the appropriate authority and consent to add them and to record their voice as part of the Service.
You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You can request deletion of your account at any time; see our Privacy Policy for how that process works.
"Your Content" means the audio recordings, study notes, photos, and other material you or your family members submit through the Service. You retain ownership of Your Content.
Because Lineage Bible is built around families recording and listening together, Your Content is shared with the other members of any family you belong to, for as long as you remain a member and, unless you request otherwise, after you leave — this is a core part of how the Service works, so that a family's shared library isn't disrupted every time membership changes. You can manage what happens to your past contributions when you leave a family, or request their removal at any time, through your account settings or by contacting us.
If you mark a Passages Plan as public, its content may be visible to Lineage Bible users outside your family.
You grant Lineage Bible a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, back up, transmit, and publicly perform (i.e., play back) Your Content solely as necessary to operate and provide the Service to you and the family members you've shared it with. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except for residual copies that may briefly persist in backups as described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use Your Content to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose beyond operating the Service, unless we ask for and receive your separate, explicit permission.

Lineage Bible offers a free plan with limited features, and paid subscription plans with additional capacity. Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the price and interval shown at the time of purchase, until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you won't be charged again after that. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
If a subscription payment fails and isn't resolved, the family's account moves into a limited "archive" state: existing recordings remain intact and playable, but new recording and some other features are limited until the subscription is renewed or a new plan is selected.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your use of Stripe's payment services is also subject to Stripe's own terms.
Bible text displayed in the Service is drawn from the World English Bible (WEB) and Berean Standard Bible (BSB), both of which are in the public domain / released for free use. We're grateful to the translators and maintainers of these translations.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, or if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other users or to the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, license, disclaimers, liability, and indemnification) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lineage Bible and Together On Mission will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lineage Bible and Together On Mission, and our officers, employees, and agents, from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any rights of another person or entity, including in connection with recording another person's voice.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through an in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
