Roles

| Creator | The person who created the family (full admin) |
| Admin | Promoted by creator or other admins |
| Member | Everyone else |
Admins can Make Admin, Remove Admin, invite members, remove members, and edit permissions.
Per-member permissions
Each member has toggles (visible to admins in member settings):

| Record | Member's recordings hidden on Listen; recording activities hidden from feed |
| Comment & Like | Cannot comment on family activities |
| Add Notes | Cannot add study notes |
| Invite Others | Cannot send invitations |
The creator's own permissions cannot be edited.
Join request approval
When someone requests to join via search, only the family creator (not all admins) can Approve or Deny in Profile → Family Invites → Join Requests.
