Family Bible
Open Record from the bottom navigation.
Choose a passage
On the cassette label, use the dropdowns to select:
- Book (e.g. Genesis)
- Chapter (e.g. 1)
- Start verse and End verse (e.g. 1 through 31)
The passage reference and your active Bible translation appear on the label.
Start recording
- Tap the red record button on the cassette (or Record Verse below).
- On mobile, a short countdown may appear before recording starts.
- Read the highlighted verse aloud clearly.
- Tap Next Verse to advance, or Pause / Resume as needed.
- When finished, tap All Done or Done.
During a session
- Previous — go back one verse
- Redo — re-record the current verse
- Progress bar — shows where you are in the range
Verse highlighting
- The current verse is highlighted in mint green.
- Verses you've already recorded appear dimmed (based on your recording scope setting).
Smart Selection
The Smart Selection panel can set your range automatically:
- Start = next unrecorded verse for you (or your family, depending on scope)
- End = end of the chapter
